Senior Fund Accountant at Apex Group (Hybrid)

Join Apex Group as a Senior Fund Accountant supporting asset, cash, and position reconciliations. The role also covers client service, reporting, trade settlement, and middle-office operations.

Description

  • Manage administrative activities such as asset setup and maintenance
  • Reconcile assets, cash transactions, and Apex and client positions
  • Coordinate with external brokers, custodians, agents, and internal teams
  • Process agent notices and corporate actions
  • Enter and settle trades when required
  • Prepare internal reports and contribute to reporting activities
  • Resolve and escalate breaks that remain open for more than seven days
  • Investigate discrepancies with agents and internal stakeholders
  • Deliver reporting within established deadlines
  • Build client relationships and coordinate internal teams to meet service expectations and targets
  • Assist the Middle Office Manager with assigning duties and delegating work
  • Implement training and development plans for direct reports and new employees
  • Complete additional responsibilities assigned by management

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required
  • Knowledge of fund administration and private equity funds
  • CPA, MBA, or master’s degree preferred
  • Capacity to meet agreed deadlines consistently
  • Experience with Paxus, Geneva, Investran, eFront, or Allvue is preferred
  • Experience with incentive fees, waterfall distributions, allocations, financial statements, or subsequent closes is advantageous
  • Highly organized, motivated, and exceptionally detail-oriented
  • Proactive self-starter willing to take on new opportunities and projects
  • Ability to manage complex accounting structures
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
