Senior ETRM Analyst, Position Reporting – Houston, TX (Onsite)

Senior ETRM analyst supporting AES Clean Energy’s commercial systems through trade capture, exposure modeling, risk reporting, and issue resolution. Builds and maintains tools and applications for energy trading and commercial teams.

Description

  • Support and deliver information systems for AES Clean Energy’s commercial business
  • Administer the ETRM platform for business units and individual users
  • Coordinate new ETRM functionality deployments with corporate IT
  • Help commercial teams book deals and assets
  • Model commercial exposures in the ETRM system
  • Investigate ETRM issues and produce related reports
  • Provide after-hours or weekend coverage when needed alongside centralized corporate IT support
  • Coordinate ETRM matters with Commercial and IT stakeholders
  • Build and maintain tools for position and market monitoring
  • Partner with Product Control to support commercial operations
  • Capture and verify trade entries with trading teams
  • Provide real-time support and troubleshooting for commercial, risk, and finance teams
  • Create, maintain, and improve customer applications to meet contractual requirements
  • Support data management solutions

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, finance, engineering, sciences, or a related discipline
  • One to two years of relevant experience in the energy industry
  • Experience supporting Energy Trading and Risk Management systems; Allegro experience is preferred
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience using Power BI and reporting tools
  • Working knowledge of SQL and database querying
  • Experience with HTML, Python, Perl, R, XML, or related technologies is advantageous
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with business and technical stakeholders
  • Strong communication, organization, and troubleshooting abilities
