Senior Data Analyst, Data Governance and Data Quality

Lead data governance and quality initiatives for Property and Casualty insurance domains, including Claims and Legal. Configure IDMC metadata, lineage, cataloging, and compliance capabilities.

Description

  • Shape and advance the enterprise data governance strategy, roadmap, and operating model for Property and Casualty insurance domains, including Claims and Legal
  • Set data ownership and stewardship structures, governance councils, and decision forums across business and technology teams
  • Promote governance adoption to improve underwriting accuracy, claims efficiency, regulatory reporting, and analytics enablement
  • Configure and implement IDMC capabilities including business glossaries, data dictionaries, catalogs, metadata management, lineage, workflows, and operating rules
  • Work with engineering teams to connect Collibra with cloud platforms, data lakes, analytics tools, and core insurance systems
  • Oversee IDMC Dev, Test, and Production environments while reinforcing implementation best practices
  • Maintain documentation for critical data elements across Property and Casualty domains
  • Provide end-to-end lineage from Policy Administration, Claims, and Billing systems through downstream analytics and reporting platforms
  • Increase data discoverability and self-service analytics through consistent metadata and taxonomy standards
  • Define and track data quality KPIs covering accuracy, completeness, consistency, and timeliness
  • Create processes to identify, triage, remediate, and monitor data quality issues
  • Integrate data quality controls into data pipelines and reporting workflows
  • Support governance practices that meet state insurance regulations, privacy laws, and internal risk controls
  • Classify and govern regulated and sensitive data used in underwriting, claims, and financial reporting
  • Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and Risk teams to maintain audit-ready data practices

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of experience in data management, data governance, or enterprise data programs
  • At least 2 years of hands-on IDMC experience, including enterprise-scale implementations
  • Strong Property and Casualty insurance expertise, particularly in Claims
  • Advanced knowledge of metadata management and data cataloging
  • Understanding of data stewardship frameworks
  • Understanding of data lineage and traceability
  • Understanding of data quality governance
  • Ability to collaborate across business, IT, data engineering, analytics, and compliance functions
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and executive presentation skills
  • Bachelor’s degree
