Remote Data Analyst - Virginia

Define client reporting needs and develop scalable Excel and Power BI analytics solutions for ICF’s utility and energy-efficiency programs. Support customer programs across the United States through data analysis, reporting, and process improvement.

Description

  • Partner with clients to clarify their data reporting requirements
  • Develop tailored analytics and reporting solutions
  • Safeguard data accuracy and investigate discrepancies
  • Manage business processes from start to finish
  • Identify and lead the adoption of effective practices
  • Clarify, coordinate, and accelerate client requirements across ICF teams
  • Design reporting approaches that satisfy client needs and enable efficient, scalable development
  • Advise data analysts and developers as client requirements change
  • Prepare documentation and present findings in team meetings
  • Travel occasionally for project scoping, local deployments or training, and client presentations
  • Support utility customer programs throughout the continental United States

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least two years of experience in a business or data analyst position, with advanced Excel skills applied to data integrity and report quality
  • At least two years of experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, including building reports and dashboards
  • Ability to define, document, and lead the implementation of business processes and software requirements for technology initiatives
  • Experience with SharePoint, JIRA, or comparable software tools
  • Experience maintaining and quickly producing recurring reports for diverse audiences
  • Experience creating data-driven narratives through advanced data presentation and visualization methods
  • Exposure to utility, energy, or energy-efficiency industries
  • Availability for periodic drug testing and background checks if required
