Remote Analytics Engineer, Forecasting and Revenue Intelligence at Autodesk

Build Autodesk’s Snowflake and dbt models for sales forecasting and revenue intelligence. Deliver trusted dashboards and reporting that inform sales leadership decisions.

Description

  • Develop and maintain Snowflake dbt models using Salesforce, subscription, billing, hierarchy, and forecast data.
  • Define data grain, stable keys, and metrics in line with the shared metric dictionary.
  • Retain historical data so published figures can be reconstructed as they stood on their original publication dates.
  • Keep account, territory, seller, and sales hierarchy mappings current.
  • Compare data with Salesforce and Finance records, and investigate discrepancies.
  • Create datasets for weekly forecast packs, business reviews, and leadership dashboards.
  • Implement freshness, completeness, and accuracy checks and monitoring, and resolve failures.
  • Discuss data issues and trade-offs with sales and finance partners to agree on solutions.
  • Apply version control, code review, and continuous integration practices.
  • Take ownership of delivered work on the new Forecasting & Revenue Intelligence team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or quantitative discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • At least 3 years in analytics engineering, data engineering, or BI development, creating models relied on by others.
  • Production experience with dbt, including tests and documentation as standard practice.
  • Strong SQL skills, including window functions and incremental models, using a cloud warehouse such as Snowflake.
  • Practical familiarity with Salesforce data, including accounts, opportunities, line items, and ownership.
  • Can explain data issues to non-technical stakeholders and work with them to reach decisions.
  • Preferred: dbt snapshots or slowly changing dimensions for point-in-time reporting.
  • Preferred: Python for data transformation or orchestration, plus Airflow or a comparable tool.
  • Preferred: Commercial data experience in enterprise software or SaaS, covering subscriptions, renewals, territories, and direct and partner sales channels.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with revenue intelligence platforms such as Clari, Gong, or Aviso, and BI products such as Power BI, Tableau, or Sigma.
  • Preferred: Experience joining a new data team as an early hire.
  • Must be based in the United States; Central or Eastern time zones are preferred.
