Project Coordinator, Academic Affairs – 9-Month Fixed-Term Contract

Project Coordinator supporting Arden University’s academic governance and change portfolio. The role coordinates reporting, documentation, risks, meetings, and stakeholder activity across the university.

Description

  • Support the Head of Strategic Projects and the Academic Affairs Project Team
  • Coordinate and oversee delivery of the university’s project and change portfolio
  • Provide practical support to Project Managers, Business Analysts, Project Sponsors, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
  • Gather, analyse, and present project and portfolio information
  • Coordinate meetings, governance activities, and reporting cycles
  • Maintain project documentation and accurate records
  • Monitor actions, risks, issues, dependencies, and milestones
  • Prepare reports and information for project and portfolio oversight
  • Support communication, governance, and coordination across projects
  • Identify significant issues and provide timely information to support prioritisation and decision-making
  • Help deliver strategically aligned projects and change initiatives across Academic Affairs and the wider university

Requirements

  • Degree-level education or substantial relevant experience in increasingly complex roles
  • Experience in project coordination, analysis, administration, portfolio support, or a related discipline
  • Excellent organisational skills and close attention to detail
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects and competing priorities
  • Strong project administration and coordination capabilities, including managing deadlines, actions, risks, issues, and dependencies
  • Effective communication and stakeholder-influencing skills
  • Confidence working with stakeholders at all levels, including senior colleagues
  • Experience maintaining accurate project records and reporting data
  • Background in a relevant role such as Project Coordinator, Project Officer, Project Analyst, Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or a similar position
  • Business Analysis qualification, such as Agile BA or BCS, or equivalent experience is desirable
  • Experience in higher education is desirable
  • Experience working in a formal Project, Programme, or Portfolio Management environment is desirable
  • UK right-to-work and visa eligibility requirements apply
