Project Controls Coordinator – New Cairo, Onsite

Lead project controls and reporting for engineering programs, covering costs, contracts, schedules, and portfolio performance. Use Power BI, Power Platform, SQL, and Python to improve reporting and control workflows.

Description

  • Manage project cost and commercial controls, including BoQ baselines, scope changes, invoicing, cash-flow projections, and variation records.
  • Review costs, margins, commitments, and actual expenditure, then investigate variances and propose corrective measures.
  • Assist with contract administration by handling claims, change orders, payment milestones, and invoice reconciliation.
  • Maintain schedules and baselines while monitoring milestones, critical paths, risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies.
  • Combine project progress information into forward-looking reports that highlight schedule, resource, and delivery risks.
  • Build and support Power BI dashboards for cost, progress, contract status, and portfolio performance.
  • Automate and standardize reporting and data workflows with Power Automate, Power Query, SQL, and related project control tools.
  • Safeguard reporting data quality, consistency, and accuracy through reconciliation and audit controls.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly project reviews for senior leaders, converting financial and schedule data into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Work with Project Managers, Finance, Tendering, Supply Chain, and Delivery teams to promote consistent project controls practices and processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least three years of progressive experience in documentation control, contract financial analysis, data analysis, and project services within a large engineering or industrial organization.
  • Experience owning cost, progress, and contract reporting for a megaprogram, including BoQ creation, scope-to-item analysis, and tracking invoiced, outstanding, and unstarted scope.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience managing cash-flow and invoicing data flows with Finance, including demonstrable reduction of billing disputes.
  • Experience supporting operations across multiple regions.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Power Platform tools, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse, for reporting and control workflows.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including VBA automation, and working knowledge of SQL for data extraction and reconciliation.
  • Formal training in project scheduling and planning.
  • Ability to use Python for data processing and PowerShell or VBA for supporting automation.
  • Practical experience with EDMS platforms, transmittals, and formal document control.
  • Experience using Tableau alongside Power BI to standardize regional reporting.
  • Experience in energy, power systems, data center, or industrial project environments.
