Payroll Administrator — Hybrid, Solent
Manage end-to-end payroll for Menzies LLP’s outsourced business services clients. This hybrid Solent role covers PAYE schemes, payroll changes, and auto-enrolment pensions.
Description
- Run payroll from start to finish for a portfolio of clients
- Process annual, monthly, quarterly, or weekly payrolls accurately and on schedule
- Handle client payrolls across weekly, monthly, and quarterly pay cycles
- Set up PAYE schemes with HMRC
- Maintain and update permanent client and employee records
- Take on other ad hoc duties as needed
- Administer auto-enrolment pensions through payroll
- Work with colleagues across the firm to raise awareness of Menzies Academy
Requirements
- Around 1–2 years of payroll experience
- A sound understanding of payroll processes
- Strong attention to detail
- Confident IT skills, including Microsoft Office and database use
- A proactive, organised working style
- Able to manage deadlines and take responsibility for your workload
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Able to build positive working relationships
- A collaborative approach
- Enthusiasm for working as part of a supportive team
- PayCircle experience is helpful but not required
- A CIPP Technician qualification is an advantage
- Motivation to learn and develop
- Knowledge of administering auto-enrolment pensions through payroll
