Part-Time Remote Sales Associate – Idaho

Support pop-up boutique sales, inventory, POS operations, and customer service at Spotlight Events’ competitive dance competitions. Travel to regional and national events across the United States.

Description

  • Manage Spotlight’s on-site event boutique
  • Set up and dismantle temporary retail locations
  • Keep the store organized, attractive, and adequately stocked
  • Count and reconcile the cash drawer accurately, reporting any discrepancies
  • Pursue city-specific sales targets through suggestive selling, multi-item sales, and upselling
  • Complete post-event inventory checks to support restocking and accurate product quantities
  • Process sales, returns, and exchanges through the POS system
  • Develop lasting relationships with clients and customers
  • Deliver informed, welcoming service consistent with Spotlight’s customer experience standards
  • Learn and follow Spotlight Dance Cup procedures and guidelines to provide accurate answers
  • Help set up the stage after completing boutique responsibilities
  • Assist with loading and unloading the event truck as needed

Requirements

  • Previous customer service, retail, or boutique sales experience
  • Previous customer service or retail experience is required
  • Merchandising knowledge is helpful or preferred
  • Experience in dance, theater, or live event settings is preferred
  • Familiarity with dance or the performing arts is a plus
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Able to remain professional and positive in fast-paced, high-energy settings
  • Must live within reasonable proximity of a U.S. international airport or transportation hub
  • Available for frequent travel during the January–July event season
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds and set up equipment
  • Comfortable sharing hotel accommodations with same-gender colleagues during assignments
  • New or first-year event staff must attend an audition and training session in Eagle, Idaho
  • Available to work early mornings or late evenings
  • Able to work approximately 6–10 regional events each year and potentially 1–2 national events
