Part-Time Remote Faculty, Human Resources

Teach human resources to diverse adult learners in a part-time remote faculty role at National University. Provide timely feedback, support course quality, and help identify students who may need additional assistance.

Description

  • Deliver meaningful, timely feedback on a range of student assessments
  • Foster a positive, safe, inclusive, and student-focused learning environment
  • Meet all deadlines for required duties, including final grades, assessments, grading rubrics, and grade-appeal input
  • Complete applicable professional development or scholarly activities
  • Share course-content feedback with the course lead
  • Recognize students at risk and coordinate with student services
  • Collaborate with the Academic Program Director and fellow program faculty
  • Support program quality, student engagement, and student achievement

Requirements

  • A doctoral degree is required in Human Resources, Human Resource Management, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Leadership, Management with substantial Human Resources coursework or professional experience, or a related field from a regionally accredited university
  • Three to five years of graduate or doctoral-level higher education teaching experience preferred
  • Prior service on doctoral dissertation committees preferred
  • Previous experience as a dissertation chair preferred
  • Demonstrated ongoing scholarly work, including peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, or scholarly research, preferred
  • Experience mentoring doctoral students preferred
  • Professional HR credentials such as SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or GPHR preferred
  • Experience teaching doctoral courses online preferred
  • Background in qualitative, quantitative, or mixed-methods research preferred
