Multimedia Editor - United States Remote

Produce accurate transcripts, captions, and synchronized video for NCC’s government and private-sector clients. Record live meetings, hearings, conferences, and webcasts.

Description

  • Edit and proofread transcripts for accuracy, formatting, and client requirements under tight deadlines.
  • Add timecodes and synchronize transcripts with video projects, including meetings, hearings, conferences, and feature films.
  • Capture high-quality audio and video recordings of meetings, hearings, and conferences using professional recording equipment.
  • Support transcription, post-production captioning, and live event audiovisual recording, including webcasts.
  • Coordinate with clients, colleagues, and division or executive leadership.
  • Lead individual projects and group assignments.
  • Work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team.
  • Independently learn and apply new technologies and software.
  • Travel to client sites and provide collaborative support to other divisions.
  • Develop process efficiencies that benefit clients, the team, and operational workflows.

Requirements

  • Eligible to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance, including successful criminal background and credit checks.
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, journalism, multimedia editing, video, audio, or a related discipline, or equivalent additional professional experience.
  • At least one year of professional experience and/or four years of comparable academic experience.
  • Professional experience editing and proofreading transcripts.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry software, including Microsoft Office and Adobe applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and personal accountability.
  • Availability for a core schedule between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Eastern Time, with flexibility for early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
  • Willingness and ability to travel locally and occasionally nationwide to client sites.
