Mobile Application Engineer — Remote in the United States

Build and maintain secure iOS and Android applications for DecisionPoint Corporation’s MODES III program. Work across cloud integrations, accessibility, CI/CD, security compliance, and mobile app releases serving military members and families.

Description

  • Build and maintain applications for Apple iOS and Google Android
  • Deliver new features, enhancements, and modernization work
  • Convert user stories, UX designs, and technical requirements into dependable mobile solutions
  • Create responsive, accessible interfaces tailored to each platform
  • Investigate crashes, performance problems, integration issues, and production defects
  • Contribute to native and cross-platform mobile development
  • Connect applications with REST APIs, databases, identity services, AWS-hosted systems, and third-party platforms
  • Implement authentication, push notifications, analytics, secure storage, caching, synchronization, and offline capabilities
  • Support Git workflows, automated tests, build automation, and mobile CI/CD pipelines
  • Handle application signing, provisioning, testing, deployment, and release processes
  • Prepare and maintain submissions and updates for the Apple App Store and Google Play
  • Apply secure mobile engineering practices across the software development lifecycle
  • Assist with vulnerability remediation, code reviews, automated testing, and production monitoring
  • Build applications that meet Section 508 and other applicable accessibility standards
  • Support RMF, Zero Trust, NIST SP 800-53, privacy, and Authority to Operate requirements
  • Review crash reports, performance metrics, platform alerts, and user feedback
  • Take part in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, demonstrations, and retrospectives
  • Partner with product owners, UX designers, business analysts, testers, architects, cybersecurity teams, and Government stakeholders
  • Prepare estimates, technical documentation, status reports, and implementation recommendations
  • Offer technical input and modernization recommendations for the mobile product roadmap
  • Deliver secure, accessible, dependable mobile services for military members and families

Requirements

  • Maintain an active Secret clearance
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline; equivalent relevant experience may be accepted
  • Bring at least five years of software development experience, including three or more years supporting production mobile applications
  • Have experience developing for iOS, Android, or both platforms
  • Demonstrate experience with Swift, SwiftUI, Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Java, or Objective-C
  • Have used a cross-platform framework such as React Native, Flutter, Ionic, or Capacitor
  • Have integrated mobile applications with REST APIs and cloud services
  • Understand authentication, secure storage, caching, synchronization, or push notifications
  • Be experienced with Git, automated testing, Agile delivery, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Have troubleshot and supported production mobile applications
  • Have prepared and released applications through the Apple App Store or Google Play
  • Preferred: CompTIA Security+ certification
  • Preferred: experience supporting Federal, DoD, or other regulated applications
  • Preferred: experience with AWS-hosted mobile services
  • Preferred: experience developing for both iOS and Android
  • Preferred: experience with Xcode, Android Studio, App Store Connect, and Google Play Console
  • Preferred: experience building offline-capable mobile applications
  • Preferred: experience with mobile analytics, crash monitoring, and performance diagnostics
  • Preferred: experience applying Section 508 requirements to mobile applications
  • Preferred: experience with RMF, NIST SP 800-53, Zero Trust, and Authority to Operate requirements
  • Preferred: experience working from Figma designs and established digital design systems
  • Work independently as part of a fully remote Agile team
