Lead WMS Consultant - Atlanta Hybrid

Lead warehouse management system integrations with robotics and automation, designing solutions, resolving SQL and messaging issues, and guiding client go-lives for Fulfillment IQ.

Description

  • Lead WMS-to-robotics integration initiatives across goods-to-person, conveyor and sortation, ASRS, and put-to-light or pick-to-light systems
  • Assess business, functional, and integration needs to create scalable WMS/WCS solutions
  • Configure core WMS capabilities across inbound, outbound, inventory, returns, picking, and shipping
  • Diagnose MHE messaging problems across the full transaction flow and resolve their root causes
  • Help determine appropriate endpoints, ports, and message formats for integrations
  • Develop, assess, and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures supporting inventory adjustments, order-header changes, and wave or allocation logic
  • Work with clients through system integration testing, user acceptance testing, go-live, and post-go-live support
  • Troubleshoot live operational issues onsite with client product managers
  • Lead or contribute to issue-resolution and bridge calls during critical incidents
  • Deliver root-cause findings to client stakeholders
  • Flag scope and schedule risks while helping establish minimum viable product scope
  • Coordinate with local onshore developers and international robotics vendor teams
  • Keep design documentation, technical specifications, test plans, runbooks, and configuration records current
  • Coach and support less experienced consultants, analysts, and support staff
  • Take ownership of solution design and delivery for designated workstreams
  • Act as an escalation resource for less experienced consultants

Requirements

  • 6–10+ years of experience delivering WMS implementations or supply chain execution systems
  • Experience completing multiple full, end-to-end implementations and go-lives
  • Strong techno-functional expertise connecting business operations with IT
  • Hands-on experience integrating WMS platforms with MHE and automation systems, robotics platforms, conveyor or sortation equipment, or ASRS
  • Working knowledge of SQL, including stored procedures, joins, and updates, using Oracle, MSSQL, or comparable platforms
  • In-depth knowledge of receiving, put-away, wave and allocation logic, picking, packing, shipping, and returns
  • Hands-on experience with put-to-light and pick-to-light solutions
  • Familiarity with RF guns, printers, and label formats
  • Ability to trace MHE messaging problems through to their source
  • Client-facing experience supporting go-lives, leading issue and bridge calls, and communicating under pressure
  • Willingness and ability to travel 50–75%, including occasional weekend work during go-live periods
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with local onshore teams and international offshore robotics vendors
  • Experience with Hy-Tek Intralogistics or IntraOne preferred
  • Experience with Geek+, Locus Robotics, or Exotec preferred
  • Experience serving as design lead for multi-building or multi-site WMS rollouts preferred
  • Experience mentoring junior consultants or analysts preferred
