Description

  • Lead the architecture and evolution of Oneview’s data platform, establishing standards for storage, integration, analytics, and governance.
  • Implement Snowflake solutions supporting reporting, analytics, AI-enabled data products, and enterprise data warehousing.
  • Own database architecture, performance tuning, operational reliability, and cost optimization across Snowflake, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server.
  • Design and maintain scalable data ingestion, transformation, and integration pipelines.
  • Advance analytics and self-service reporting through semantic models, BI integrations, and Snowflake Cortex capabilities.
  • Collaborate with backend engineers on Java services, APIs, and distributed systems.
  • Contribute to cloud-native platform development with AWS and modern DevOps practices.
  • Build Python solutions for automation, data processing, orchestration, and platform tooling.
  • Work with architects, product owners, and stakeholders to shape scalable, long-term technical solutions.
  • Promote consistent engineering standards and operational excellence across teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least 10 years of experience developing enterprise-scale software applications and platforms.
  • A track record of leading complex technical initiatives with limited supervision.
  • Advanced SQL Server or PostgreSQL expertise, including query optimization and performance tuning for transactional systems.
  • Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and operating Snowflake data platforms in production.
  • Strong knowledge of data engineering, data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and OLAP concepts.
  • Familiarity with BI and analytics platforms such as Sigma, Power BI, Tableau, or comparable tools.
  • Experience with Snowflake Cortex features, including semantic views, AI/ML capabilities, agents, or AI-powered data products, is highly desirable.
  • Strong Java development experience with Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, REST APIs, and microservice architectures.
  • Strong AWS experience spanning EC2, S3, Lambda, Step Functions, and infrastructure-as-code solutions.
  • Strong Python skills for automation, orchestration, and data engineering workloads.
  • Understanding of distributed systems, event-driven design, and messaging platforms such as Kafka.
  • Practical experience applying AI tools to improve software development workflows.
  • Strong communication, mentoring, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to influence technical direction beyond an immediate team and promote engineering best practices.
