Full Stack Developer (Remote, Brazil)
Build end-to-end React and Node.js applications for EX Squared’s digital transformation clients. Work remotely from Brazil on APIs, databases, testing, and production deployments.
Description
- Create responsive, interactive interfaces with modern frontend technologies
- Develop and maintain backend services and APIs with JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js
- Deliver features across the application stack by connecting user experiences, services, and data
- Design, implement, and maintain databases and data integrations
- Develop and integrate APIs, including GraphQL services
- Investigate and resolve issues across frontend, backend, integration, and production environments
- Produce clean, readable, maintainable code
- Take part in code reviews, testing, debugging, and continuous delivery practices
- Support automated testing and CI/CD workflows
- Improve application performance and help maintain dependable production deployments
- Work with developers, QA professionals, architects, and other stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle
- Record technical decisions and communicate progress, challenges, and solutions clearly
- Apply AI-assisted tools to coding, testing, debugging, and documentation while critically evaluating their output
Requirements
- At least three years of professional experience with modern development frameworks and languages, especially React and Node.js
- Strong practical experience with JavaScript and TypeScript
- Background in frontend development, APIs, backend services, authentication, testing, and debugging
- Experience deploying or supporting applications in production
- Experience with GraphQL and Apollo
- Working knowledge of Git, pull request workflows, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience using the command line in Mac or Linux environments
- Ability to develop a prototype and bring it to production readiness
- Experience contributing to at least one large-scale project
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to learn new concepts, technologies, and development practices quickly
- Clear communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Experience with AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or Cursor, including the ability to understand and critically review generated code
- Understanding of responsible AI development, including appropriate handling of client code and data
- Advanced English communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with an international team
- Six-month contract duration
- Current residence in Latin America is required
