Description

  • Run highly resilient, multi-cluster Amazon EKS environments across AWS Commercial and GovCloud
  • Serve as the final L3 escalation point for critical platform and production incidents
  • Lead incident bridges and coordinate development, security, networking, and customer support teams
  • Diagnose complex infrastructure, routing, networking, and Kubernetes control-plane failures
  • Define escalation paths and convert L3 resolutions into runbooks for L1 and L2 teams
  • Implement and enforce NIST SP 800-53 controls supporting FedRAMP authorization
  • Lead SRE involvement in annual FedRAMP 3PAO audits and compile compliance evidence
  • Build tamper-resistant pipelines for application, system, API, and Kubernetes audit logs
  • Analyze distributed-system anomalies with Elasticsearch and Kibana
  • Develop Kibana dashboards, KQL/Lucene queries, and visualizations to lower MTTR
  • Resolve issues in Vector and Fluentd log-ingestion pipelines
  • Design secure, resilient hybrid architectures spanning AWS GovCloud and on-premises edge environments
  • Architect and scale multi-tenant Kubernetes clusters with zero-trust policies and federated identity
  • Configure highly available L4/L7 load balancers, ingress controllers, and FIPS 140-3 validated routing
  • Administer bare-metal edge nodes, including OS hardening, STIG compliance, secure boot, and host provisioning
  • Write modular Terraform infrastructure and security-boundary code
  • Build GitLab CI/CD and ArgoCD GitOps delivery pipelines
  • Create Python and Go automation tools, controllers, and command-line utilities
  • Implement monitoring with Prometheus, Grafana, and Alertmanager, including Slack notifications
  • Run blameless post-mortems and document root causes and preventive actions
  • Join a rotating 24/7 on-call schedule

Requirements

  • Be a US citizen residing in the United States
  • Bring at least five years of production experience operating highly available systems in SRE, DevOps, or systems architecture roles
  • Demonstrate experience managing high-pressure L3 escalations, live incident triage, and stakeholder communications
  • Have advanced hands-on expertise with Elasticsearch and Kibana, including complex KQL queries, log parsing, and operational dashboards
  • Have direct experience with FedRAMP audits, NIST SP 800-53, or SOC 2 Type II audits
  • Have designed hybrid-cloud network architectures, secure multi-tenant clusters, and system security plans
  • Demonstrate strong Linux administration skills across RHEL, Rocky Linux, or hardened Ubuntu, plus TCP/IP, iptables, DNS, and OS hardening
  • Bring expert-level Kubernetes and AWS EKS/GovCloud experience, including pod autoscaling and ingress management
  • Have configured Prometheus, written PromQL queries, built Grafana dashboards, and managed Alertmanager rules with Slack
  • Have implemented Terraform at scale and continuous deployment with ArgoCD and GitLab CI
  • Write production-quality automation in Go and/or Python
  • Have worked with on-premises edge servers and hardware or software load balancers
  • Communicate clearly in writing and produce detailed runbooks and compliance documentation
