Financial Accountant – Italy (Remote)
Manage financial reporting, reconciliations, treasury, tax, and transfer pricing for multiple European entities. Support Welocalize’s multinational, multi-currency accounting operations.
Description
- Lead the full financial reporting cycle for multiple European legal entities
- Prepare monthly financial statements and review trial balances and financial results
- Complete account reconciliations and conduct detailed trial balance reviews
- Oversee cash management and treasury activities
- Prepare revenue and regulatory filings under US GAAP and local statutory requirements
- Coordinate outsourced payroll, local payroll, and monthly employer tax reporting
- Support external providers with annual country-level global transfer pricing documentation
- Supply data for weekly, monthly, and forecast multi-currency working capital needs
- Deliver required monthly reporting
- Analyze budget-to-actual performance
- Support audits and corporation tax requirements while liaising with team leads
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies
- Assist the general ledger, accounts receivable, and accounts payable teams
- Contribute to ad hoc projects
- Work with the accounting team to complete responsibilities accurately and on schedule
Requirements
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
- Open to newly qualified and experienced candidates
- Strong financial accounting knowledge with substantial experience preparing monthly financial statements
- Knowledge of IFRS and FRS 102
- Workday proficiency is advantageous
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and formulas
- Knowledge and practical application of EU VAT regulations and reporting
- Accounting qualification with two to three years of experience in a comparable environment, or newly qualified status
- Qualified accountant
- Demonstrated experience in accounts-related roles or functions
- Knowledge of transfer pricing
- Able to prioritize effectively while maintaining quality, teamwork, and compliance with global deadlines
- Self-motivated, organized, flexible, committed, enthusiastic, and willing to take initiative
