Backend Test Automation Developer – Capgemini, Madrid (Hybrid)
Backend test automation developer role at Capgemini Engineering, focused on automating Java backend testing. Work across quality integration, BDD, and CI/CD in AWS environments.
Description
- Design, develop, and maintain automated tests for Java, Spring, and Spring Boot backend services
- Implement and execute unit, integration, system, and end-to-end tests
- Define and develop test scenarios using BDD and Cucumber/Gherkin
- Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
- Investigate issues, identify root causes, and uphold quality standards in AWS environments
Requirements
- Strong backend development experience with Java, Spring, and Spring Boot
- Demonstrated experience automating unit, integration, and system tests
- Proficiency with JUnit, Mockito, MockMvc, WireMock, AssertJ, and Spring Boot Testing
- Practical experience with BDD using Cucumber/Gherkin and end-to-end testing
- Experience working with AWS
- Knowledge of DevOps practices, including GitLab Pipelines and GitHub Actions
- Good command of English
