Backend Software Engineer (Go) - Toulouse Hybrid

Build resilient CRM microservices with Go at D-EDGE Hospitality Solutions, a hotel distribution technology provider. Modernize legacy PHP services across a global hospitality platform.

Description

  • Build and maintain CRM solutions using Go, NATS, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Kubernetes, and selected PHP legacy components.
  • Help expand and modernize internal systems and customer-facing applications.
  • Build and maintain the containerized Go technology stack.
  • Migrate legacy services from PHP to Go.
  • Develop and enhance critical components of the D-EDGE CRM.
  • Spot technical risks and bottlenecks, then initiate projects to address them.
  • Contribute to software architecture and technical decision-making.
  • Engage in design and refinement sessions by evaluating proposals, suggesting alternatives, surfacing risks, and clarifying requirements.
  • Create and maintain accurate technical documentation.
  • Refine team processes and tooling to support efficient, high-quality delivery.
  • Take part in technical discussions and propose improvements and experiments.
  • Represent the team at external events and share knowledge internally.
  • Launch and assess technical experiments and innovation initiatives.
  • Mentor and train teammates.
  • Report to an Engineering Team Lead.

Requirements

  • At least four years of engineering experience in a SaaS environment within an Agile development team.
  • Strong professional experience with Golang.
  • A solid technical foundation, with the ability to work closely with teammates and understand technical requirements, decisions, and architectures.
  • Strong knowledge of the technologies and frameworks used by the teams.
  • Familiarity with GitLab.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines is advantageous.
  • Production experience integrating AI or LLM capabilities is highly advantageous.
  • Ability to analyze, understand, and design software architectures focused on security, reliability, and performance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to investigate details when needed.
  • Ability to collaborate with technical stakeholders, explain and defend decisions, and build agreement.
  • Ability to mentor and train teammates.
  • Fluent written and spoken French and English.
