Associate Image Science Engineer - Tulsa, OK (Onsite)

Description
- Develop and refine image and signal-processing methods for the Airborne Sensors program
- Examine digital data and the phenomena underlying it
- Lead analysis and operations teams building capabilities for airborne collection platforms
- Provide support during collection events
- Reduce and process collected data
- Produce data artifacts and technical reports
- Conduct atmospheric modeling and analysis
- Contribute to national defense activities
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field, or have completed one within the past 12 months
- Able to pass an FAA Class 3 flight physical
- Able to deploy to remote locations for extended periods and work a flexible schedule
- Experience with Python, including Jupyter Notebooks, NumPy, SciPy, OpenCV, and Matplotlib, or with MATLAB Image/Signal Processing Toolboxes
- Preferred: experience with digital image reduction, analysis, and signal-processing methods
- Preferred: experience with object detection and tracking
- Preferred: experience using Python, MATLAB, or another scripting language
- Preferred: ability to apply engineering concepts and theory to develop new concepts and technical practices
- Preferred: experience with the Windows operating system
