Associate Category Manager

Support category growth and profitability for GPC’s automotive parts business through promotions, supplier coordination, sourcing, retail operations, planograms, digital channels, and performance reporting.

Description

  • Help the Category Manager improve growth and profitability across assigned categories
  • Coordinate promotional activity across publications and sales channels
  • Partner with suppliers to confirm promotional commitments are delivered
  • Manage supplier income, billing, and related reporting
  • Launch new product lines and suppliers accurately and on schedule
  • Create customer-facing planograms with the planogram team
  • Address stakeholder questions promptly
  • Handle the daily operational needs of assigned categories
  • Identify opportunities across B2C and B2B digital channels
  • Administer annual retail and wholesale promotional plans
  • Oversee Agreement Sheets administration
  • Coordinate category sourcing initiatives with the sourcing team
  • Provide regular updates on category performance
  • Support category sales, gross profit, inventory turnover, and GMROI targets

Requirements

  • One to two years of category leadership experience is preferred, ideally within a fast-paced multi-site distribution or retail organization
  • Strong administrative and time-management skills
  • Tertiary qualification in business or a related field is preferred
