APAC Partnership Manager at SailGP

Manage SailGP’s APAC Host Venue and Event Partner relationships, from rights delivery and activations to reporting and event execution. Coordinate stakeholders and partnership operations across the Asia Pacific region.

Description

  • Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned APAC Host Venues and Event Partners.
  • Oversee partner communications, meetings, requests, relationships and delivery schedules.
  • Convert contractual rights, partner goals and regional needs into practical activation and delivery plans.
  • Coordinate cross-functional delivery of partnership rights and benefits across APAC events and channels.
  • Keep partnership plans and trackers current, including responsibilities, deadlines, risks, decisions and open actions.
  • Lead delivery for agreed APAC events by coordinating internal workstreams, partner requirements, event servicing and issue resolution.
  • Oversee partner branding, activations, hospitality, guest programmes and other contracted event deliverables.
  • Produce status updates, post-event reports, KPI reporting, case studies and partner presentations.
  • Complete Host Venue and contractual reporting requirements within agreed deadlines.
  • Monitor delivery risks, partner concerns and commercial opportunities, escalating significant matters to the Senior Partnership Manager.
  • Contribute to renewal, extension and growth discussions by identifying ways to increase partner value.
  • Support priorities across the broader global Host Venue and Event Partnerships portfolio.
  • Maintain accurate portfolio records and complete a structured handover before the contract ends.
  • Represent SailGP at selected events and serve as an ambassador for the organisation and its values.

Requirements

  • Bring substantial experience from a rights-holder, agency or client-facing position in sport, events or marketing.
  • Demonstrate experience managing commercial or Host Venue partnerships.
  • Understand partnership rights delivery, activation planning and event execution.
  • Know how to interpret contractual obligations and turn them into actionable delivery plans.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders through strong stakeholder-management skills.
  • Apply effective project management, organisation and time management across competing priorities.
  • Manage multiple partners, events and workstreams effectively in a fast-moving environment.
  • Work with precision when maintaining delivery trackers, reporting materials and action plans.
  • Communicate clearly through written updates, reports and presentations.
  • Use Google Workspace tools, including Docs, Sheets, Slides and Drive, proficiently.
  • Have fluent written and spoken English.
  • Be available to work outside standard hours during peak delivery periods and events when required.
  • Be willing to undertake some international travel.
