Field Technician, Wireless Network Operations
Maintain wireless network performance across about 200 sites in western Idaho and eastern Oregon. Support RAN and backhaul operations, outage response, and field projects.

- Resolve network performance issues and help restore service during outages.
- Manage smaller projects or project segments, providing accurate status and progress updates.
- Recommend process improvements for maintenance and repair work.
- Work with senior technicians to prepare job aids, scopes of work, and procedures.
- Complete training to stay current on systems, products, and organizational standards.
- Maintain and improve performance and reliability across approximately 200 sites.
- Support radio access networks, backhaul, signaling, disaster recovery, data services, and location-based services.
- Coordinate after-hours outage response with NOC teams, utilities, and vendors as needed.
- Carry out other duties and projects assigned by business management.
- Travel across western Idaho, the Boise metro area, the Magic Valley, and eastern Oregon, including rural and mountainous areas.

- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience (required).
- Two to four years of experience in field operations and maintenance.
- Two to four years of experience in wireless telecommunications or a related field.
- Basic operational knowledge of electronics and interconnected circuits, including RF transmitters, antenna systems, AAV, fiber, microwave radio, and AC/DC power systems.
- Practical knowledge of radio access network (RAN) architecture, components, and operations.
- Understanding of wireless backhaul technologies and configurations, including microwave and fiber-based solutions.
- Experience with RAN equipment and 5G NR standards, or the ability to learn them.
- Working knowledge of base station equipment, installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Commitment to ongoing training, certifications, and hands-on skill development.
- Familiarity with disaster recovery protocols and contingency plans.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve network issues involving hardware and software.
- Project management skills.
- Ability to provide hands-on technical support.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues independently and make field decisions autonomously.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and similar productivity tools.
- Understanding of Internet Protocol and willingness to use AI-driven tools.
- Availability for flexible hours, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations.
- Ability to lift 50–70 pounds and work outdoors in varying conditions.
- At least 21 years old to operate a company-assigned vehicle.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Preferred: Ability to operate a vehicle safely, including towing equipment trailers, in adverse conditions.
- Preferred: Experience with backup power systems, Ericsson RAN and transport technology, Ceragon, Nokia cell site routers and IP backhaul, and EXFO test sets.
- Preferred: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Preferred: Basic leadership skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
