  • Own delivery of the enterprise Data & AI roadmap across regions, functions, and business units.
  • Make sequencing and trade-off decisions that balance speed, quality, risk, and cost.
  • Hold director-level leaders accountable for agreed outcomes.
  • Manage the portfolio’s business case from investment approval through post-implementation review.
  • Set measurable value targets, integrate capabilities into business processes, and report realized value.
  • Redirect or end initiatives that fail to deliver their committed value.
  • Oversee development and operation of the enterprise Data Platform, AI Factory, and related capabilities.
  • Set platform roadmaps and approve investment.
  • Lead enterprise data governance and responsible AI practices, including approval of AI use cases.
  • Partner with teams responsible for security, privacy, regulatory compliance, and model risk.
  • Establish priorities, performance measures, governance forums, and execution processes.
  • Track progress, address enterprise risks, and provide visibility into commitments and results.
  • Manage the Data & AI operating and investment budget.
  • Lead strategic vendor selection, negotiations, and performance management.
  • Improve unit costs while maintaining investment in long-term capabilities.
  • Build and lead a global team of directors, managers, and technical professionals.
  • Define the operating model and organizational structure.
  • Recruit and develop director-level leaders and establish succession plans.
  • Promote accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Talablar

  • At least 15 years of relevant experience in data, AI/ML, engineering, and/or platform leadership.
  • At least 8 years of direct employee management or supervisory experience.
  • Experience overseeing an operating budget of $5 million or more and a comparable investment portfolio.
  • Practical familiarity with Microsoft technologies, including Azure Foundry, Microsoft Copilot, and Copilot Studio.
  • Familiarity with modern data platforms such as Snowflake and Databricks.
  • Familiarity with foundational AI models such as OpenAI and Anthropic.
  • Experience applying FinOps practices to cloud and AI cost management, including chargeback and showback models.
  • A track record of delivering measurable business value from data and AI investments.
  • Deep knowledge of modern data platform architecture, AI and generative AI deployment at scale, and data governance frameworks.
  • Experience establishing responsible AI and data governance practices in regulated, multi-jurisdiction environments.
  • Ability to build alignment across functions.
  • Executive presence and effectiveness influencing C-suite peers and presenting to board-level audiences.
  • Experience managing globally distributed teams across North America, EMEA, APJ, and LATAM is preferred.
  • Experience leading data and AI transformation through significant business change is preferred.
  • Experience in distribution, supply chain, or another high-volume, low-margin operating model is preferred.
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field is required.
  • A master’s or postgraduate degree is required.
  • Ability to follow instructions and seek clarification when needed.
