Opis

  • Build and optimise enterprise AI, machine learning and generative AI platforms, applications and infrastructure.
  • Lead secure, scalable and reusable engineering delivery across public cloud, on-premises and hybrid environments.
  • Create cloud-native architectures, automate infrastructure and establish enterprise AI engineering frameworks.
  • Develop and maintain AI and machine learning solutions, covering model deployment, inference, evaluation, monitoring and lifecycle management.
  • Design and support highly available cloud infrastructure, including resource allocation, capacity planning, resilience and operational performance.
  • Lead complex software development, systems integration, platform deployment, migration and technical implementation.
  • Build and maintain infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments and secure software delivery processes.
  • Apply DevSecOps, secure-by-design practices and Australian Government security, privacy and governance requirements.
  • Assess technical requirements and solution options, then recommend architectures, technologies and implementation approaches.
  • Investigate and resolve complex issues across applications, platforms, infrastructure and enterprise services.
  • Guide multidisciplinary delivery teams with technical leadership and specialist advice.
  • Set engineering standards and reusable architecture patterns, and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to align solutions with business needs and organisational objectives.
  • Advance innovation, continuous improvement, technical governance and adoption of emerging technologies.
  • Support operational readiness, system reliability, release management, knowledge transfer and ongoing service improvement.

Zahteve

  • An active Baseline security clearance.
  • Senior technical experience in AI software engineering, cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, DevOps, MLOps, solution architecture or enterprise systems integration.
  • Strong experience in AI software engineering or cloud and platform infrastructure engineering.
  • Experience designing, developing and delivering enterprise AI and machine learning solutions in both greenfield and brownfield environments.
  • Strong programming and software engineering skills, especially Python, automation, APIs and enterprise application integration.
  • Experience in AI and machine learning engineering and MLOps, including model development, training, inference, evaluation, deployment, monitoring and lifecycle management.
  • Experience with large language models, generative AI, retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, vector databases, AI agents and foundation models.
  • Experience with AI frameworks and tools such as Hugging Face, vLLM/TGI, Kubeflow, AWS SageMaker, Azure AI or Azure Machine Learning.
  • Experience in software architecture, systems design, integration, configuration management, release management and automated testing.
  • Experience designing, implementing and supporting enterprise cloud infrastructure across AWS, Microsoft Azure, on-premises or hybrid environments.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, OpenShift AI or equivalent platforms.
  • Experience with Docker or Podman, container image management, registries, vulnerability scanning and secure software supply chains.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code and automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, GitOps, Argo CD, GitLab, GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
  • Experience administering Linux and working with networking, storage, DNS, TLS, load balancing, ingress, certificates and cloud or on-premises connectivity.
  • Experience with cloud availability, capacity planning, performance optimisation, disaster recovery and operational resilience.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, AWS CloudWatch or Azure Application Insights.
  • Experience with enterprise platform deployment, migration, systems installation, infrastructure troubleshooting and problem management.
  • Experience applying FinOps principles.
  • Experience with NVIDIA GPU infrastructure, CUDA fundamentals, GPU scheduling and AI workload optimisation.
  • Experience with OpenShift AI pipelines, model registries, model serving and S3-compatible object storage.
  • Experience with REST APIs, OAuth/OIDC, API gateways, streaming platforms and data lakes.
  • Experience with DevSecOps, role-based access control, secrets management, network security, vulnerability management and secure platform configuration.
  • Understanding of Australian Government security frameworks, privacy obligations, data sovereignty and regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership, specialist advice and guidance across complex initiatives.
  • Ability to work autonomously, solve complex technical challenges and influence technical decisions.
  • Demonstrated experience designing complex enterprise technology solutions and delivering secure, scalable, maintainable and supportable systems.
  • Experience leading or contributing to complex software development, systems integration, infrastructure implementation, automated deployment or technology migration.
  • Experience selecting and improving engineering methodologies, development tools, automation practices and technical standards.
  • Understanding of secure-by-design principles, cybersecurity requirements, technical risk management and governance obligations.
  • Ability to investigate and resolve complex technical problems and deliver sustainable improvements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience presenting complex technical concepts, making recommendations, working with multidisciplinary teams and influencing stakeholders.

Ugodnosti

  • Hybrid work-from-home arrangements may be considered after the first two weeks, typically with at least two days onsite each week.
  • Contract extensions may be available, up to a maximum total term of 24 months.
