Descriere

  • Evaluate and modernize IT systems supporting a major earth science data center
  • Apply and expand digital engineering, MBSE, and earth science data expertise to improve service for users worldwide
  • Assess applicable space requirements to support architecture development with advanced digital engineering tools
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to identify otherwise overlooked insights
  • Support IT solutions throughout their lifecycle, from initial concept through decommissioning
  • Provide analysis that supports sound decisions about IT systems and services
  • Document and analyze data center architecture and related IT systems
  • Create and maintain digital architecture models and supporting systems documentation
  • Propose system enhancements that help reduce outages

Cerințe

  • At least three years of experience in systems engineering, network engineering, or IT systems administration
  • Understanding of systems engineering practices and IT systems
  • Understanding of IT project lifecycles and project management methods
  • Ability to communicate effectively with organizational leaders, IT administrators, software developers, and systems engineers
  • Ability to recommend changes that reduce system outages
  • Ability to create and maintain digital architecture models and related systems documentation
  • Ability to interpret and analyze complex requirements, data flows, system links, and system interconnections
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or Computer Engineering
  • Experience working with data centers and enterprise architecture
  • Experience using Cameo Systems Modeler, NoMagic MagicDraw, Sparx Enterprise Architect, IBM Rhapsody, or comparable digital engineering tools
  • Understanding of model-based systems engineering principles
  • Understanding of Systems Modeling Language or Unified Modeling Language
  • Understanding of GitLab or comparable continuous integration and continuous delivery technologies
  • Understanding of DevOps, OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, microservices architecture, and related concepts
  • Understanding of space procedural requirements
  • Understanding of Agile or Scaled Agile methods, cloud architecture, and configuration management
  • Strong consultation, troubleshooting, and impact analysis abilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Applicants must undergo a security investigation and may need to satisfy eligibility requirements for access to classified information
