Descriere

  • Lead delivery of a dependable monetization platform
  • Set the engineering roadmap with Product, balancing billing features, customer improvements, reliability, and reduced manual effort
  • Oversee usage-to-invoice architecture, including accurate metering, subscription lifecycles, reconciliation, budgets, and limits
  • Convert plan, coupon, credit, and invoicing needs into documented APIs and self-service tools
  • Coach and develop engineers through feedback, ownership, career guidance, and hiring
  • Contribute to architecture reviews, pairing sessions, and code when needed
  • Improve testing, observability, incident response, and safe migration practices
  • Collaborate with Product, Growth, Finance, RevOps, Support, and engineering teams
  • Define pricing and billing requirements, explain trade-offs, and safeguard customer trust
  • Maintain dependable partner integrations as upstream APIs evolve
  • Track outcomes through billing accuracy, self-service adoption, commercial lead time, and operational health

Cerințe

  • Located in Oslo, Norway, or London, UK
  • Demonstrated experience managing engineers and delivering software in a product or SaaS environment
  • Strong hands-on software engineering background
  • Experience leading backend or platform systems where correctness and reliability are critical
  • Experience with billing, payments, usage metering, subscriptions, or entitlements is particularly valuable
  • Communicate technical designs and trade-offs clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, in writing and conversation
  • Turn ambiguous problems into clear priorities and incremental delivery plans
  • Demonstrated ability to improve customer or business outcomes
  • Develop people and build teams around shared ownership
  • Work effectively across functions and time zones
  • Replace recurring manual processes with reusable capabilities
  • Deep knowledge of event-driven systems, API contracts, idempotency, retries, consistency, reconciliation, and safe changes to critical state
  • Familiarity with Orb, Stripe, or Temporal is a plus
