Hybrid Process Engineer, CNC Machining and Automation

Descriere

  • Develop and refine CNC machining processes for metal components
  • Resolve machining problems to extend tool life, reduce defects, and avoid downtime
  • Program and support CNC equipment using G-code and FANUC or Siemens controls
  • Review and improve OEE, cycle times, and process efficiency
  • Maintain and improve automation, PLC controls, and robotics
  • Install, launch, and validate equipment and processes
  • Diagnose manufacturing-floor issues involving equipment and process variation
  • Lead root cause investigations and continuous improvement work
  • Work with production and quality teams to resolve issues
  • Contribute to APQP, FMEA, and control plan development
  • Write work instructions and train operators and technicians on new processes

Cerințe

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • At least three years of CNC machining experience in manufacturing
  • Practical experience troubleshooting CNC machines and machining processes
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment
  • Strong knowledge of CNC programming with G-code
  • Experience machining metals such as steel, aluminum, and brass
  • Working knowledge of Siemens PLCs and automation systems
  • Robotics integration experience with FANUC, KUKA, or similar systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems, sensors, and control panels
  • Ability to read electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics
  • Experience with Swiss (STAR) or turning machines
  • Experience with IATF 16949, FMEA, APQP, and control plans
  • Continuous improvement or Six Sigma experience preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push or pull up to 250 pounds using handling equipment
  • Frequent standing, walking, and hands-on work
  • Occasional bending, kneeling, and reaching
