Renew Home is seeking a senior compliance operations leader to manage SOC 2, SOX, and ISO 27001 programs. The role covers audits, controls, evidence management, and cross-functional security compliance for a residential energy technology company.

- Manage SOC 2 audit activities across readiness, fieldwork, and remediation.
- Coordinate accurate, timely evidence collection and audit responses with auditors and internal stakeholders.
- Improve security compliance tooling for audit management and trust center requirements.
- Monitor control performance and identify gaps or exceptions before they become audit findings.
- Maintain audit records, evidence repositories, and control narratives.
- Support strategy, control assessments, and project management for SOX initiatives.
- Lead control evaluations and gap assessments for ISO 27001 readiness and certification.
- Manage cross-functional compliance improvement projects, including timelines, milestones, and accountability.
- Work with engineering, IT, finance, and business teams to collect and validate evidence.
- Develop control-owner relationships and automate recurring evidence collection where possible.
- Escalate risks, control weaknesses, and resource constraints to compliance leadership.
- Maintain control inventories, ownership mappings, and audit calendars with compliance tools and automation.
- Create and maintain compliance processes and playbooks.
- Track regulatory and framework changes that affect controls and compliance programs.
Cerințe
- At least five years of experience in compliance operations, IT or security compliance, audit, or a related field.
- Demonstrated compliance and privacy expertise, including direct support for SOC 2 audits.
- Working knowledge of SOX and ISO 27001, or the ability to quickly learn and apply new frameworks.
- Capacity to oversee multiple audit and compliance improvement workstreams concurrently.
- Strong project management capability.
- Experience working with engineering, IT, and business teams to collect evidence and establish control ownership.
- Comfort using AWS, Jira, GitHub, HubSpot, Google Workspace, and Slack.
- Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical and regulatory topics to non-specialist audiences.
- Meticulous attention to detail and personal accountability for accurate, complete compliance records.
- Startup or high-growth company experience is a plus.
- Experience with compliance automation or GRC platforms is a plus.
- Familiarity with GDPR, CCPA, or HIPAA is a plus.
- Experience preparing for or supporting a company's first SOC 2, SOX, or ISO 27001 certification is a plus.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored visa sponsorship.
