Lead mobile and backend engineering teams building Fanatics’ global digital sports platform. Drive software delivery, AI-assisted engineering practices, and customer-facing experiences across the Fanatics App.

Descriere

  • Lead engineering initiatives with technical expertise across the organization
  • Form and guide one or more teams delivering software in line with established engineering practices
  • Manage, mentor, and grow engineers working across mobile and backend platforms
  • Define technical needs, balance priorities, and keep projects on schedule through daily Scrum leadership
  • Work with product and design partners to shape an ambitious, achievable roadmap for executives and stakeholders
  • Improve execution consistency through clear objectives, data, KPIs, transparency, and ongoing improvement
  • Expand AI-assisted engineering practices across development tools, documentation, testing, code review, and developer enablement
  • Report KPIs, progress, and performance metrics to executives and key stakeholders
  • Recruit, evaluate, and onboard a diverse range of engineering talent
  • Coordinate Fanatics stakeholders around practical, actionable roadmaps
  • Stay involved in architecture, operations, development processes, and engineering quality while giving engineers ownership of implementation details
  • Travel periodically to Fanatics offices and other locations for conferences, events, meetings, and team-building activities
  • Develop the Fanatics App, a digital sports platform spanning free-to-play games, live events, ecommerce, and new product experiences

Cerințe

  • At least 3 years of experience managing one or more engineering teams
  • At least 4 years of experience building highly scalable, fault-tolerant systems
  • Broad knowledge of design approaches and the ability to break down architectures for development across multiple teams
  • Ability to define project scope and target dates that address business needs
  • Ability to distinguish essential, triageable, and deferrable features and negotiate priorities with Product Management
  • Ability to explain complex technical topics to engineers, technical leaders, marketing and operations teams, and non-technical functional leaders
  • Familiarity with Agile software delivery and Scrum methodology
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong report-writing skills, including gathering, evaluating, analyzing, and logically structuring information
  • Ability to succeed in an entrepreneurial, hyper-growth environment with changing priorities and rapid decisions
  • Team-oriented approach and willingness to take on the work required to achieve results
  • Ability to collaborate across functions in an enterprise environment
  • Preferred: experience in a startup environment
  • Preferred: substantial mobile software engineering experience
  • Preferred: experience with Kotlin Multiplatform and/or Compose Multiplatform
  • Preferred: enthusiasm for sports cards, collectibles, or live commerce
