Descriere

Provide electrical expertise for routine plant maintenance and strategic capital and expense initiatives
Partner with Site Maintenance to resolve equipment problems and develop instrument and electrical improvement strategies
Support the design, construction, and commissioning of electrical infrastructure upgrades
Establish maintenance practices and guide plant personnel on troubleshooting, repairs, and equipment service conditions
Define capital project scope, align work with business needs and cost goals, and incorporate applicable local and industry requirements
Own engineering activities for medium- and low-voltage distribution systems, substations, switchgear, transformers, MCCs, UPS systems, generators, emergency power, monitoring systems, lighting, grounding, and facility distribution
Keep site electrical records current, including single-line diagrams, arc flash studies, protective device settings, and equipment files
Recognize technical issues in designs and operating facilities and coordinate with technology centers and subject matter experts on solutions

Cerințe

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, or relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E6, Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class, or Sergeant rank
At least three years of relevant experience
Legal authorization to work in the United States
Dow does not provide visa sponsorship or support for any U.S. permanent residency process
Previous Dow Maintenance, Repair, and Operations experience is preferred
Experience with medium- and low-voltage electrical distribution is preferred
Ability and willingness to use safety equipment, respirators, and personal protective equipment
Ability to bend, reach, and lift frequently
Ability to work in confined or enclosed spaces
Ability to climb stairs and ladders and work at elevated heights
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
Ability to perform work at or above four feet and use harnesses rated for a combined weight of 300 pounds
