Descriere

  • Provide senior-level peer review and oversee project delivery
  • Develop and sustain client relationships
  • Mentor and manage less-experienced actuaries
  • Work directly with clients and their vendor partners
  • Direct, train, and support Actuarial Analysts with activities including data cleaning and validation
  • Lead marketing initiatives such as publications and presentations
  • Manage both ad hoc assignments and longer-term project execution
  • Prepare reports, exhibits, and internal and external correspondence
  • Present findings to peers, project managers, and client relationship managers
  • Follow internal quality control, risk management, and peer review requirements
  • Record how project-specific data is compiled
  • Drive process improvements
  • Complete additional duties assigned by practice Principals
  • Use Excel to manipulate and summarize complex data
  • Apply programming, statistical, and database expertise to client work
  • Collaborate with Milliman teams across offices and time zones
  • Travel periodically across the United States for meetings, conferences, and team events, up to 20%

Cerințe

  • Hold Fellowship in the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) when applying
  • Bring up to 10 years of full-time actuarial experience in areas such as pricing, reserving, predictive modeling, capital modeling, enterprise risk management, or reinsurance for North American and/or European companies
  • Have completed a bachelor’s degree or higher, with quantitative coursework in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or a related field
  • Demonstrate mastery of R for statistical modeling
  • Show proven proficiency in Excel and Word
  • Have working knowledge of supporting database and professional applications such as Access and PowerPoint
  • Apply strong critical-thinking, technical, analytical, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Maintain exceptional attention to detail and technical accuracy
  • Investigate inconsistencies, missing data, and unusual results, consulting Principals as needed
  • Collaborate effectively while coordinating multiple client priorities across projects
  • Perform effectively in a fast-paced environment and provide additional effort when client needs require it
  • Communicate questions and ideas clearly
  • Show intellectual curiosity about risk, Milliman, and the practice’s work
  • Demonstrate excellent time management, including coordination across time zones
  • Be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future immigration support or sponsorship from Milliman
  • Preferred: Experience publishing thought leadership or presenting at industry conferences
  • Preferred: Mastery of @Risk, VBA, Python, SAS, STATA, or comparable statistical and modeling tools
