- Professional Databricks certification required: Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional or Databricks Certified Machine Learning Professional.
- Databricks Champion status preferred.
- Experience designing and delivering modern data engineering solutions with Databricks.
- Experience in data architecture and engineering, including Databricks.
- Ability to explain Databricks capabilities and tell stories with data.
- Experience developing, communicating, and executing data strategies.
- Experience evaluating on-premises or cloud data solutions.
- Advanced ability to design future-state data solutions using Well-Architected Frameworks aligned with Databricks.
- Experience planning data solution migrations to Databricks.
- Strong proficiency implementing ETL processes and databases.
- Substantial experience optimizing pipelines, queries, and data models.
- Knowledge of administering and maintaining stable, secure, scalable, and cost-effective data solutions.
- Strong skills in data engineering, movement, integration, transformation, and cleansing.
- Ability to design, manage, and optimize data warehouses and modern data platforms.
- Strong data modeling skills, including entity-relationship, dimensional, and semantic modeling.
- Ability to perform data analytics and exploratory data analysis.
- Experience implementing data governance frameworks and policies, including Unity Catalog.
- Understanding of data security, encryption, and access control.
- Knowledge of networking for on-premises or cloud Databricks solutions.
- Understanding of DevOps or DataOps and Databricks deployment.
- Expertise in SQL and Spark, including PySpark and Spark SQL.
- Competency in at least three listed Databricks technologies, with exposure to most of them.
- Leadership and direct supervisory experience, including performance reviews, mentoring, coaching, work oversight, and team coordination.
- Ability to build business relationships and professional networks, including with senior executives.
- Ability to pursue business development opportunities.
- Ability to communicate issues, risks, and challenges to client personnel, including executives.
- Successful completion of a background check.
