Senior Reliability Engineering Manager
Lead reliability strategy, maintenance planning, and engineering teams for Tallgrass Freight’s energy infrastructure. Improve asset safety, operational efficiency, and profitability.

- Set and carry out reliability plans that support production and safety objectives
- Lead a reliability engineering team and encourage continuous improvement
- Oversee budgeting and delivery for the Major Maintenance Program
- Define KPIs for reliability, Lost Profit Opportunities, and initiative savings
- Build savings and return-on-investment cases to guide asset maintenance strategies
- Investigate failures and determine root causes for critical equipment and systems
- Apply reliability-centered maintenance methods
- Create predictive maintenance programs using vibration analysis and infrared thermography
- Partner with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams on reliability improvements
- Review reliability data to find trends and opportunities for improvement
- Manage reliability budgets and resources
- Ensure work meets industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements
- Maintain reliable attendance and performance, with attention to personal and public safety
- Work nonstandard hours when needed
- Handle daily, weekly, monthly, special project, and other assigned duties

- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related engineering field
- At least 8 years of direct experience in the energy industry
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Demonstrated success leading reliability engineering teams and delivering measurable results
- Valid driver’s license and a driving record acceptable to the company and its insurers
- In-depth knowledge of reliability engineering principles, methods, and tools, including FMEA, RCM, and Weibull analysis
- Strong understanding of oil and gas midstream processes and equipment
- Proficiency with data analysis and statistical tools, including Maximo, Excel, PI, and SEEQ
- Experience developing and managing budgets
- Strong presentation and report-writing skills
- Willingness to travel occasionally
- Ability to perform all essential and marginal job functions
- Ability to work collaboratively, follow management direction and work schedules, attend to detail, and follow work rules
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with strict deadlines
- Ability to organize and prioritize daily work
- Ability to meet physical requirements, including prolonged sitting and lifting up to 25 pounds
- Ability to carry a cell phone and remain available during and outside working hours
- Successful completion of a drug screen and post-offer background check, including a credit report for certain positions
- Ability to manage a group of engineering professionals
