  • Interpret accurately and consecutively, primarily in medical settings
  • Interpret for social service, customer care, and financial clients
  • Remain impartial and protect confidential information
  • Begin with over-the-phone interpretation (OPI), with a pathway to video remote interpretation (VRI)
  • Meet the monthly minimum for interpreted minutes
  • Facilitate communication in healthcare, legal, financial, customer service, and social service settings

  • At least 6–12 months of remote medical interpretation experience
  • C1-level English proficiency, demonstrated through EF SET 4-Skill, TOEFL, or CAE
  • Recent ALTA (9+) or LanguageStat/PICSI (75%–80%+) certification preferred; certification must have been issued within the past 12 months
  • Strong command of medical and customer service terminology
  • HIPAA and FWA certification, or willingness to obtain them
  • Pass a background check
  • Use a wired Ethernet connection; Wi-Fi is not accepted
  • Use a USB noise-canceling headset
  • Have Windows 10 or later with at least 4 GB of RAM
  • Have access to a private, quiet workspace
  • Be able to work as an English-Spanish interpreter in Latin America
