Description

  • Operate and maintain water recycling equipment, including tanks, pumps, screens, blowers, valves, motors, flow meters and compressors
  • Complete planned and reactive servicing and maintenance, including lubrication
  • Take process samples to verify correct system operation
  • Report and escalate operational problems
  • Follow company health and safety policies and procedures
  • Keep work areas clean and orderly
  • Identify ways to minimise energy use while maintaining regulatory compliance
  • Service and maintain water recycling treatment processes and systems in line with applicable regulations
  • Work mainly Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:00, with flexible start and finish times
  • Take part in standby duties and occasional weekend work

Requirements

  • Experience in a field or engineering environment is preferred
  • Experience in process or quality assurance work would be advantageous but is not required
  • A sound understanding of health and safety practices
  • A full UK manual driving licence is required
  • Proficiency with IT systems
  • Ability to work without restrictions in confined spaces and at height
  • Weight must not exceed 113 kilograms because of harness limits
  • Willingness to complete the required occupational health checks
  • Availability for standby duties and occasional weekend work
  • A practical problem solver who can work quickly and use initiative
  • A proactive and enthusiastic team contributor
  • Strong interpersonal and organisational abilities
  • Ability to prioritise workloads effectively
  • Good communication, flexibility and reliability are essential
