Description

  • Teach undergraduate and graduate Information Systems and Software Development courses
  • Support student learning in line with DeVry University requirements
  • Create syllabi and lesson plans aligned with course and program objectives
  • Prepare, organize, revise, and maintain course materials
  • Use online platforms and course software, including websites, email, and discussion tools
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication
  • Publish objectives, assignment and exam schedules, and grading weightings
  • Align examinations with terminal course objectives
  • Develop and grade examinations fairly and consistently
  • Deliver prompt feedback to students
  • Incorporate responsible AI tools into teaching and learning
  • Assess and respond to appropriate and inappropriate student use of AI tools
  • Perform additional assigned duties

Requirements

  • A master's degree in Information Systems or a related Engineering or IT field is required
  • At least 18 graduate credits in Information Systems are required
  • Upload unofficial graduate-level transcripts with the application
  • The degree must come from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation, or from an internationally accredited institution with equivalent recognition
  • ITF+ or a related certification is strongly preferred
  • Linux+ or a related certification is strongly preferred
  • PCAP, PCEP, or a related certification is strongly preferred
  • A+ or a related certification is strongly preferred
  • CSSLP, CSDP, AWSCD, or a related certification is strongly preferred
  • C# programming or another Microsoft-related certification is strongly preferred
  • Azure Data, MongoDB, or another Microsoft- or Oracle-related certification is strongly preferred
  • Additional requirements may apply based on state licensing or accreditation considerations
  • Relevant subject matter expertise
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A commitment to continued development in instructional technology, digital literacy, and responsible AI practices
