Vice President, Corporate Trust Transaction Manager

Lead corporate trust transaction management for BNY by negotiating securities contracts, managing risk, and coordinating onboarding, compliance, and client service across teams.

Description

  • Negotiate contract terms with clients, legal representatives, BNY counsel, and internal stakeholders
  • Assess and reduce contractual, operational, and regulatory risks
  • Review bond indentures and trustee or paying agent agreements against BNY’s risk appetite
  • Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to complete accurate, timely onboarding in bank systems
  • Verify that onboarding activities satisfy contractual obligations
  • Provide responsive client service while anticipating client needs
  • Apply available technology to improve outcomes
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to strengthen processes and operational efficiency
  • Promote risk awareness and escalate exposures promptly
  • Deliver analysis and recommendations to support sound decisions
  • Track industry developments and regulatory changes to support compliance and competitiveness

Requirements

  • Strong academic background
  • Experience in corporate trust or transaction management involving asset-backed securities and mortgage-backed securities
  • Ability to perform effectively under tight, demanding deadlines
  • Ability to manage challenging internal and external relationships in pressured, time-sensitive situations
  • Ability to investigate complex issues and develop innovative legal solutions
  • Ability to recommend commercially viable responses to business challenges
  • Strong curiosity and lateral-thinking ability
  • Collaborative team orientation
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Resourceful approach to problem-solving
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for persuasion, negotiation, and influence, including with senior stakeholders
