UK Remote Field Service Engineer for Materials Handling Equipment

Home-based Field Service Engineer role supporting Logisnext UK customers across Leicester, Derby, and Nottingham. Responsibilities include equipment servicing, fault diagnosis, installations, maintenance, and customer travel.

Description

  • Maintain, service, and repair materials handling equipment
  • Identify faults across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and engine systems
  • Provide responsive service to a diverse customer base
  • Organize personal workloads and keep service documentation accurate
  • Install and commission machinery as required
  • Help customers maintain safe, dependable, and productive operations
  • Work independently within a local home-based field-service territory

Requirements

  • Mechanical engineering experience supported by electrical knowledge
  • Experience servicing mobile machinery or comparable equipment
  • A valid UK driving licence
  • Hands-on understanding of electrical drive and control systems
  • Hands-on understanding of diesel and LPG engines
  • Working knowledge of hydraulic systems
  • Experience using computer-based diagnostic tools
  • Experience in automotive, HGV, LGV, PSV, plant, agricultural machinery, construction equipment, REME, roadside recovery, forklift and materials handling, or field service is welcomed
  • Ability to work from home while covering a local area around Leicester, Derby, and Nottingham
