Territory Sales Representative – Cincinnati, Ohio (Remote)

Pharmaceutical sales role promoting Phathom’s gastrointestinal products to gastroenterologists, advanced practice practitioners, and primary care physicians. Responsible for territory growth, product adoption, customer engagement, and market access across Cincinnati, Ohio.

Description

  • Achieve or surpass sales targets across the assigned territory
  • Identify customer needs and coordinate appropriate resources and pull-through activities
  • Develop advanced knowledge of products and disease states for detailed healthcare professional engagement
  • Promote the company’s first product to gastroenterologists, advanced practice practitioners, and selected primary care physicians
  • Maintain strong sales performance against established goals
  • Present clinically focused messages, introduce a new treatment option, and address customer concerns
  • Build knowledge of territory market dynamics and market access opportunities
  • Support product pull-through through effective communication with healthcare professionals and office staff
  • Create territory business plans with the Regional Sales Manager and Strategic Account Specialists
  • Work with colleagues across sales, marketing, training, sales operations, and commercial functions
  • Exchange best practices and support consistent operational execution
  • Maintain CRM records and complete expense reporting
  • Report to the Regional Sales Manager

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • At least one year of pharmaceutical sales experience
  • Alternatively, two or more years of successful medical sales experience, such as dental, medical device, laboratory, or diagnostics sales, or demonstrated success in B2B or related sales work
  • Gastrointestinal specialty experience is preferred
  • Consistent, demonstrated success in sales performance
  • Experience introducing new products to the market
  • Demonstrated ability to use marketing, market access pull-through, and technology resources effectively
  • Strong business judgment and analytical expertise
  • Ability to build professional relationships with office staff and other members of the customer network
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in both in-person and virtual interactions
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
  • Strong technical and computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and PowerPoint, plus Veeva Engage, Teams, Zoom, and other digital meeting platforms
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
  • Availability for occasional overnight territory travel based on geography
  • Availability to travel to national, regional, and corporate offices as required
  • Compliance with applicable company and regulatory standards
