Tactical Controller – Malta (Onsite)

Manage flight tracking, irregular operations, crew coordination, and tactical fleet control for VistaJet’s global business aviation fleet. This onsite Malta position follows rotating 12-hour shifts.

Description

  • Report to the Head of OCC
  • Maintain a tactical overview of the entire fleet
  • Update and manage the daily tactical log
  • Coordinate aircraft movement control
  • Track and monitor flights
  • Manage irregular operations, including delays, diversions, last-minute changes, and other schedule-impacting events
  • Monitor crew briefing acknowledgements and make crew activation and wake-up calls in line with VistaJet procedures
  • Monitor ATFM restrictions
  • Reroute flights as required
  • Coordinate ground arrangements and outstanding permits for the day of flight
  • Manage close-out messages and ETA updates to CBP
  • Manage ATS flight plans
  • Monitor weather conditions
  • Work a 24/7 OCC schedule consisting of four consecutive 12-hour day and night shifts followed by four consecutive days off

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of business aviation, preferably gained in flight dispatch or flight planning
  • Ability to remain accurate and detail-oriented while working under pressure
  • Ability to meet deadlines consistently in a high-pressure environment
  • Excellent English communication skills for clear interaction with stakeholders
