- Assess whether building analytics findings are valid and maintain the quality of the rules behind them.
- Grow the rule library by converting open-ended charters into validated rules prioritized by impact.
- Investigate building performance like an energy auditor, verify leads against data quality and site constraints, and turn findings into portfolio-wide rules.
- Evaluate buildings, equipment, and points for trending based on potential savings.
- Develop and apply measurement and verification (M&V) methods for each building and measure, including nonstandard IPMVP approaches.
- Determine when insights are ready to become controls and implement them safely through the BACnet priority array.
- Lead findings reviews with customer engineering and facilities teams.
- Share customer learnings with Product and Engineering.
- Develop grading playbooks and refine them when software grading is inaccurate.
- Review and refine rules and proposals.
- Write reproducible, point-referenced defect reports that distinguish root causes from symptoms.
- Calculate savings using multiple methods and review estimates with the principal engineer.
- Develop new M&V methods when existing approaches are unsuitable.
- Assess whether findings are ready to guide controls.
- Prioritize and carry out ambiguous rule-building charters.
- Expand review capacity through rule-level reviews, sampling, clustering, and AI-assisted grading.
- Spot-check software graders and monitor disagreements.
- Lead findings reviews and engineering deep dives with prospective and current customers.
