Staff Accountant (Remote, Philippines)

Home-based Staff Accountant supporting U.S. client companies through Delegate CX’s Philippine BPO operations. Responsibilities include accounts payable, reconciliations, intercompany accounting, fixed assets, and month-end close.

Description

  • Manage general ledger activities for assigned client entities, including journal entries, account coding reviews, and transaction posting in Microsoft D365
  • Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close procedures
  • Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations while investigating and resolving variances
  • Handle intercompany accounting and reconciliations across client entities, including eliminations and allocations
  • Help produce internal financial reports and supporting schedules for management review
  • Maintain fixed asset records covering additions, disposals, depreciation, and general ledger reconciliation
  • Provide accounts payable and accounts receivable support as required
  • Prepare audit schedules and address auditor requests during internal and external audits
  • Follow accounting policies, internal controls, and documentation requirements
  • Identify and escalate accounting discrepancies, process gaps, and reconciling items to the Controller
  • Collaborate with the Controller, accounting colleagues, vendors, and other stakeholders

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and directly relevant experience
  • Two to four years of professional accounting experience
  • Required proficiency in Microsoft D365 or a comparable ERP platform; D365 experience is strongly preferred
  • Exposure to AI platforms and tools such as Claude, Microsoft Copilot, or ChatGPT is advantageous
  • Experience in energy services, industrial services, or professional services is advantageous
  • Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and their use in a multi-entity corporate setting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and financial modeling
  • Exceptional attention to detail and consistent focus on accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and competing deadlines in a structured, deadline-driven environment
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document accounting positions and explain findings
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with capacity to investigate and independently resolve reconciling items
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with intercompany accounting, cost center structures, and multi-entity consolidations is preferred
  • High integrity and professional discretion when handling confidential financial information
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CST (USA)
