Site Reliability Engineer II - India (Remote)

Join Akamai Technologies as a Site Reliability Engineer II supporting observability, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure for a distributed security platform. Help improve service reliability, monitoring, and automated remediation.

Description

  • Deploy and support the observability platform and internal engineering tools
  • Work across teams to strengthen product and service reliability, scalability, and usability
  • Coach engineers and developers in building confidence in service performance
  • Partner with support, operations, and engineering teams to diagnose and resolve complex issues
  • Advance monitoring and analysis platforms for fast error detection, remediation, and automated recovery
  • Take part in on-call rotations and help restore services affected by operational incidents
  • Maintain system reliability practices, monitoring, alerting, and log aggregation
  • Build advanced tooling with Kubernetes, Kafka, and ClickHouse
  • Work with AWS, Azure, and Linode to improve systems continuously and optimize performance

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of relevant professional experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
  • Ability to design and implement comprehensive monitoring and observability strategies for complex software products
  • Experience using ArgoCD for GitOps deployments and Kubernetes application delivery
  • Experience creating and managing GitHub Actions CI/CD workflows for building, testing, and deployment
  • Experience defining and implementing engineering frameworks and tools
  • Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or Linode
  • Experience administering Linux infrastructure and working with Bash or Python
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills across network, system, application, and database layers, including network protocols, Linux operating systems, and SQL/KQL
