Description

  • Bridge complex regulatory business needs, including those involving the TAI Reinsurance for Annuity System, with scalable technical implementations.
  • Coordinate between business units, IT teams, and external product vendors.
  • Convert complex financial processes and integration requirements into clear functional and non-functional specifications.
  • Recommend solution designs and take ownership of system blueprints for projects and enhancements.
  • Maintain the enterprise integration catalog.
  • Contribute to thorough testing activities.
  • Develop comprehensive application and system documentation for organizational use.
  • Document solutions with key stakeholders and application support teams to strengthen institutional knowledge and system stability.
  • Advance the modernization of core Annuity, Life Reinsurance, and Portfolio Account Management (PAM) solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline.
  • Five to ten years of professional IT experience, with a strong background in complex enterprise systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in technical analysis and integration projects, preferably in financial services such as reinsurance or life insurance.
  • Advanced Microsoft SQL Server and SQL expertise, including database programming and ETL processes; SSIS or SSRS experience is preferred.
  • Experience working with Waterfall and Agile methodologies, including the ability to define user stories.
  • Experience with cloud environments; AWS is desired, and Azure experience is advantageous.
  • At least three years of experience with modern web development frameworks, particularly the .NET Framework, preferred.
  • Familiarity with Service-Oriented Architecture, Enterprise Application Integration, and large-scale integration platforms such as Informatica is preferred.
  • Knowledge of web application server configuration, including IIS and JBoss, and CI/CD pipelines is preferred.
  • Ability to build consensus and balance competing priorities among technical teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical executives.
  • Proactive and resourceful approach, with the ability to move projects forward independently.
  • Ability to assess ambiguous, large-scale business and technical challenges and develop practical, innovative solutions.
  • Strong attention to detail when converting requirements into structured data models and functional specifications.
  • Results-focused approach with the ability to manage multiple high-priority responsibilities.
  • Self-starter who can anticipate roadblocks and deliver high-quality solutions under pressure.
