Mid-Level GIS Developer — Remote in the United States

Description
- Support aviation-focused geospatial initiatives with ESRI ArcGIS tools
- Create and configure ArcGIS Online applications, including Experience Builder, Dashboards, Field Maps, Survey123, and QuickCapture
- Build and maintain automated data-processing and ETL workflows with Python, SQL, or comparable technologies
- Prepare and transfer geospatial and tabular data from varied sources
- Design ArcGIS Survey123 forms for field data collection
- Connect field-collected results with enterprise GIS environments
- Create and maintain custom web mapping applications with ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript or related web technologies
- Design and implement relational data models using PostgreSQL/PostGIS
- Store, manage, and query spatial and non-spatial datasets
- Record technical procedures and workflows
- Present findings from geospatial analyses
- Work with stakeholders to clarify requirements and finalize deliverables
Requirements
- Four to six equivalent years of experience in GIS, web development, operations research, modeling and simulation, technical analysis, or a related area
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in geospatial science, computer science, geography, urban development, data science, or a comparable field
- Must be a U.S. citizen or legal resident for at least three of the previous five years
- Must qualify for a U.S. Public Trust security clearance, including a soft credit review and criminal background check
- Experience configuring ArcGIS field applications
- ArcGIS Pro experience required
- ArcGIS Experience Builder and/or Dashboards experience required
- Familiarity with ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript preferred
- Experience developing custom web applications preferred
- Experience building automated Python workflows and ETL processes preferred
- Experience combining data from APIs, cloud storage, flat files, and other sources preferred
- Experience with PostgreSQL or relational databases preferred
- Experience with Python, Java, and Power Platform preferred
- Experience with visualization tools such as Shiny, Tableau, or ColdFusion preferred
- FAA or aviation-industry experience preferred
- Occasional client- or company-required travel
