Senior .NET Software Developer — Hybrid, United States

Lead the development and maintenance of web applications for Matco Tools, a professional automotive tools and technology distributor. Own architecture, technical reviews, delivery, and developer mentoring.

Description

  • Build, improve, troubleshoot, and maintain web applications with Angular or React and .NET frameworks
  • Partner with client product owners and technical leaders to clarify requirements
  • Develop technical solutions and present them to client leadership
  • Lead and coordinate software development work
  • Provide technical direction across the development team
  • Perform code and low-level design reviews
  • Implement application enhancements and new features
  • Work with developers and QA to deliver high-quality products
  • Keep assigned projects and tasks on schedule
  • Define project scope, timelines, resources, and risks independently
  • Lead implementation with cross-functional teams when required
  • Guide and mentor developers and external consultants

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • At least 8 years of experience developing web applications
  • Experience with .NET Core, C#, React, MVC, JavaScript, WebAPI, and SQL Server or a comparable database
  • Background conducting code, architecture, and functional reviews
  • Experience estimating major enhancements and projects
  • Experience deploying .NET builds and IIS
  • Experience with microservices and Azure cloud services
  • Advanced knowledge of implementing CI/CD with Azure DevOps
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Strong communication and documentation abilities
  • Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to explain protocols and processes to teams, managers, and users
