Description

  • Work with an established web development team to deliver full-stack applications that meet operational needs
  • Capture and verify web application requirements
  • Create automated tests based on defined test plans
  • Support application architecture and development efforts
  • Contribute to software design reviews and advise on suitable tools, technologies, and methods
  • Refactor and modernize existing applications to introduce features and strengthen reliability and performance
  • Review application cybersecurity posture to support compliance with software security requirements
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications used by Department of Defense test and training communities

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship and an active Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with at least 6 years of relevant experience
  • Relevant professional experience may substitute for the degree requirement
  • At least 6 years of experience developing, deploying, and maintaining full-stack web applications and software systems
  • At least 6 years of experience gathering and validating software application requirements
  • At least 8 years of experience with web UI technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Node.js, and Angular
  • At least 4 years of demonstrated experience designing and developing RESTful web services
  • At least 6 years of experience with Java EE or Jakarta EE integration, Servlets, and JDBC
  • Experience using PostgreSQL or an equivalent database, including SQL queries
  • Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming, Java EE features such as Streams and Lambda expressions, the Collections framework, and exception handling
