Description

  • Create and deploy global standards to improve the reliability, availability, and performance of GE Vernova manufacturing equipment and maintenance processes.
  • Analyze data and partner across teams to put proactive improvements in generator processes into practice.
  • Lower costs by standardizing equipment and processes, while ensuring teams follow established standards.
  • Coordinate introductions of new technologies, asset transfers, and manufacturing processes.
  • Recommend fixtures, process methods, control plans, and qualifications for manufacturing assets.
  • Coach and guide factory technical leads across the supply chain in a dotted-line organization.
  • Set, manage, and communicate global processes for manufacturing assets, covering facility integration, acceptance testing, machine health checks, calibration, preventive maintenance, spare parts, and technical training.
  • Review design specifications and shop-floor implementation of new processes with EHS, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering, Quality, Materials, Industrialization, and Sourcing teams.
  • Create and carry out reliability improvement plans using FMEA and root cause analysis.
  • Work with maintenance, operations, engineering, and safety teams to develop preventive and predictive programs.
  • Set equipment reliability KPIs and monitor progress toward targets.
  • Improve processes continuously to reduce equipment downtime and strengthen quality.
  • Lead investigations into failures and recurring issues, find root causes, and put lasting fixes in place.
  • Advise on asset management, equipment life-cycle analysis, and spare-parts optimization.
  • Contribute to equipment design, installation, and process rollout, applying Design for Reliability.
  • Assess business challenges and recommend effective practices for products, processes, and services.
  • Lead functional teams and projects, explain complex topics clearly, and influence stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 10 years of industrial manufacturing or quality experience, or high school diploma/GED and at least 15 years of such experience.
  • At least five years of generator manufacturing experience.
  • Strong understanding of engineering concepts and quality processes.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, drawings, and schematics.
  • Project management skills and experience.
  • Willingness and ability to travel globally about 25% of the time.
  • Experience working across functions and co-leading global manufacturing systems implementation to support Next Generation Supply Chain migration across the Generator Value Stream.
  • Experience applying Design for Six Sigma (DFSS).
  • Ability to apply lean methods such as Transformation Planning, 3P, Total Productive Maintenance, Standard Work, Kaizen, problem solving, and Poka Yoke.
  • Experience managing a cost center or P&L and a sound understanding of operational metrics.
  • Direct experience leading professional and production employees.
  • Ability to coach and influence others and lead small teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Ability to lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact.
  • Ability to coordinate and manage several projects at once.
