Description
- Design, build, and operate backend services and APIs with Java or Kotlin and Spring Boot, or Node.js and TypeScript
- Deliver high-quality web applications using React and TypeScript
- Help evolve the design system and micro-frontend architecture
- Guide architecture and design decisions for scalable, resilient, and secure services
- Use domain-driven and event-driven design principles
- Model data and select suitable SQL and NoSQL storage solutions
- Build asynchronous integrations with Kafka, NATS, or RabbitMQ
- Take ownership of service deployment and operations with Docker and Kubernetes
- Enhance CI/CD workflows and production observability
- Set testing direction across unit, integration, contract, and end-to-end coverage
- Promote AI-assisted development and establish responsible practices for the team
- Mentor engineers, lead code reviews, and advance engineering standards across teams
- Own features from conception through delivery while influencing technical direction across the stack
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
- At least six years of professional software development experience across backend and frontend systems
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives
- Strong backend expertise with Java or Kotlin and Spring Boot, or Node.js and TypeScript
- Strong practical experience with React and TypeScript
- Experience with modern state-management tools such as Redux Toolkit, Zustand, or TanStack Query
- Deep knowledge of distributed systems, API design, and software architecture
- Solid experience working with relational and NoSQL databases
- Hands-on knowledge of messaging platforms including Kafka, NATS, or RabbitMQ
- Solid experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and production observability
- Good understanding of security practices for backend and web applications
- Practical experience using AI coding tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor
- Experience mentoring engineers and contributing within agile teams
- Fluent spoken and written English
